New beginnings

So my life got pretty crazy with finding a job (albeit a temporary one) and so my crafting really took a back seat. I have rekindle my love affair with sewing and felt and since looking for a job from December I decided to take it back up, only this time I was gonna kick it up a notch. I want crafting to make me a little money on the side. I still enjoy doing it, creating things and being happy with them is a fabulous feeling but I want something more.

I attended my first ever craft fair last weekend and it was a really fun experience. It was the first one to be organised for my town so things did move a little slowly but we got there and we are now planning on holding one once a month. I am already booked in for next month and have plans to attend a bigger one as well.

This is exciting!

I used to sell via Etsy and although it has the benefit of allowing you to sell in £ it does charge you a fee for every item you post. Instead I am now on Storenvy. Storenvy may be limited, at this moment in time, to $ but there are plans to implement being able to sell in £ too.

It was pretty easy and straightforward to set up and the only thing I really had any issue with was sorting out postage but that was more due to the fact that Britains postal system can be so damn confusing at times!
Overall I am happy with the store. I like how it displays how much stock you have and can keep track of top sellers and so on. It makes inventory a much simpler process :)

Hopefully this'll take off and suit my needs. If not, I'll still keep crafting. It's just more fun that way!
